
Oklahoma City Thunder Reading Timeout made a stop at Wiley Post Elementary today! We always love it when the Thunder comes to visit! Today, students were read a great book to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month and got to learn about Rebozos, or Mexican shawls. They even got to see and touch an authentic Rebozo!

The Rollingwood Elementary Rockets celebrated Hispanic Heritage Month in a fun and unique way during their Lift-Off Assembly this week. They had special presentations from notable people like Frida Kahlo, Celia Cruz, and a few others as well as fantastic musical performances by Mexican singer, Imelda Juarez, and guitarist extraordinaire, Edgar Cruz. 🤩 What a great experience for the Rockets 🚀







Putnam City North High School students are leading activities this week during lunches to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month. What a great experience hearing the music, seeing the beautiful dresses, and learning new aspects of Hispanic culture.


The performing arts are alive and well at Putnam City High School! Everything from band, choir, dance, drama, orchestra, and stage tech were on full display last night for their Performing Arts Showcase. It was #spectacular 🤩

There were different departments, vendors, and organizations from across Putnam City and the metro, all of them ready to help and answer questions. Thank you to everyone that came out and a big thank you to all of the vendors!





We had some Putnam City Artists at the Oklahoma State Fair this weekend! A talented mix of students, teachers, and our District Fine Arts Coordinator volunteered as demonstration artists. We love to see Putnam City Fine Arts in the community! 🎨💙

Recognizing National Hispanic Heritage Month, 4th graders at Northridge Elementary- Putnam City Schools put on a showcase for the whole school highlighting some famous faces. Well done, Knights!






Taking the science lesson outside, James L. Capps Middle School 6th graders got a chance to review what they have learned about force with a fun and interactive activity.





Our BPA and DECA groups from all three high schools got to experience the Oklahoma City Dodgers this week. There was a panel discussion about careers in sports from marketing, to computers, to business and then they got to stay for the game against Tacoma. What a great experience for our students!




It was a roaring good time at the Fall Sports Pep Assembly with the Kenneth Cooper Middle School Cougars this week! They sure know how to have a good time! 🏈🥎🏐📣🎺

Bilingual Book Club 📖 at the library was a huge success! The kids had a blast reading and discussing books in both English and Spanish with a fun watercolor activity to express some creativity. If you missed out on the last one, don't worry! The next Bilingual Book Club is coming up on October 5th and it's sure to be just as fun and educational. Join us for a great time!








It was a hard-fought game by both Putnam City West and Putnam City High School but the Patriots came out on top, 28-21! The PCW Patriots are the PC District Football Champs of 2023 after winning against PCN and PCH.
