Putnam City High School Senior Receives Full Scholarship to Stanford through QuestBridge

 

Putnam City High School senior Nischal Joshi has been admitted to Stanford University with a full four-year QuestBridge National College Match Scholarship. This year, QuestBridge’s 55 college partners matched with 2,550 finalists, who are recognized as Match Scholarship Recipients. Putnam City Schools is extremely proud of Nischal for achieving this life-changing accomplishment.

 

Nischal is a highly involved student representing his entire class as the Senior Class President, serving as Chief of Staff at Oklahoma Boys State, Student Council Spirit Leader, an Intern for Oklahoma Senator Julia Kirt, Vice President of Public Relations for FCCLA, and a Student Legislative Representative. Nischal is ranked 7th in his class with a GPA of 4.307 and was also a Gates Scholarship Semi-Finalist. Outside of school, Nischal is the co-founder of a resale clothing brand, “ArchivedVintage_”, which has garnered thousands in sales and followers. He will be majoring in Economics and minoring in Public Policy or Computer Science at Stanford in the Fall.

 

Each Match Scholarship Recipient receives early admission and a full four-year scholarship to a QuestBridge college partner, ensuring for these students and their families that an education at a top college is affordable. The Match Scholarship - provided by the school - is made up of a generous financial aid package that covers the full cost of attendance, including tuition, housing and food, books and supplies, and travel expenses.

 

This year’s Match Scholarship Recipients represent all 50 U.S. states and the District of Columbia, as well as the territories of American Samoa, Guam, the North Mariana Islands, and Puerto Rico.
