There are three different types of transfers.
Intra-District Transfer – are available to those students who live within the Putnam City Schools boundaries but wish to attend a different school rather than the one in their attendance area. To apply, the receiving school must approve the transfer. Approval is based on a number of factors, one being classroom space. This form is to be presented to the school of your request. Transfers will be reviewed annually without a need to reapply each year until the student transitions to a new school.
Open Transfer – If you live in another school district's attendance area and reside outside the Putnam City Schools boundary, you may apply for an "open transfer". Students may apply beginning the first school day in January through May 31st. Submit this form to the District Enrollment Office along with your child’s attendance records, discipline report, IEP (if applicable) and transcript.
Emergency Transfer - Families may submit an Emergency Transfer if you live in another school district's attendance area and reside outside the Putnam City Schools boundary but you missed the deadline for an open transfer. This transfer type also applies if you are enrolling for Pre-K for the fall of the following school year. Submit this form to the District Enrollment Office along with your child’s records as applicable.
