Parents as Teachers
Research
Children learn more and at a faster pace during their first few years than at any other time in life. Through Parents as Teachers, parents acquire knowledge and skills to make the most of the crucial early learning years. Leading recent research on neuroscience and child development is woven throughout the Parents as Teachers curriculum and activities.
Study after study has documented the value of this program. Children who have participated in Parents as Teachers score significantly higher in reading and math at the end of first grade. They have higher cognitive, language, social and motor skills.
