Advanced Integration Technology Training

Putnam City Schools is proud to provide Advanced Integration Training courses to district teachers.

In this training, teachers learn how to engage students and create technology-rich lessons.  During the 30-hour session, teachers bring a lesson that they currently teach and through the course of the training, enrich it with technology. Participants learn how to use standard district software packages in depth, and when appropriate use Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint to enhance teaching and learning. Additionally, copyright law as it applies to education is addressed.

The training course is held over 9 days and is available to certified teachers in the district. The classes are held after the teaching day ends during the fall and spring semesters, as well as during the summer.

Space for classes is limited and all teachers who are interested must apply. Teachers who complete the course are checked out a district owned laptop for their professional use as long as they are an employee of the district.

Additional information may be obtained by contacting Cory Boggs at (405) 495-5200.

Currently, more than 300 teachers in the district have completed the AIT Training. See the list here.
