Finding A PowerPoint Presentation in Google
1. Go to
www.google.com
2. Click on the "Advanced Search" option.
3. In the first space ("with all of the words") type your search term. Putting the term in quotation marks makes an exact search. The more information you give, the more relevant your search. For example, if you want to look for a PowerPoint presentation on
Of Mice and Men
, type "of mice and men" steinbeck.
4. In the sixth space down ("File Format" and "Only return results of the file format"), click the arrow and pull down to "Microsoft Powerpoint (.ppt)"
5. Click on "Google Search" near the top of the screen.
6. To save a presentation, right click on the link to the presentation. Select "Save Target As ..." and save the presentation to your home directory.
7. To edit a presentation after saving it, just open it in PowerPoint and fix what needs fixing.
