Welcome to the District, Mr. Superintendent
Drawings from Lake Park Elementary School 1st-graders

When Paul Hurst walked into his office on July 1 as the new superintendent of Putnam City Schools, waiting for him was a book telling him about the district. The book, titled "In Putnam City You Will Find ..." was made up of drawings from 1st-graders in Kelli Chastain's 1st-grade class.

		In P.C. there are tons of kids.
		In P.C. our kids are smart.
		In P.C. kids are hard workers.
		In P.C. you will find good schools.
		In P.C. we have good teachers.
		In P.C. we have amazing teaching.
		In P.C. we have great days with our teachers.
		In P.C. we have happy principals.
		In P.C. our teachers and principals believe in us.
		In P.C. our PTA is unbelievable.
		In P.C. the kids have incredible friends.

		In P.C. we have funny books.
		In P.C. kids go to great centers.
		In P.C. students have P.E., music and art.
		In P.C. pre-k and kindergarten have big tables.
		In P.C. we have lunch and recess.
		In P.C. kids get to go on field trips.
		In P.C. all kids can learn.
