Kindergarten Students Talk About Friends
Kindergarten students in a class at Central Elementary recently paired off for an assignment. Students drew self-portraits, wrote a sentence about things friends can do together and put both elements together on a poster. The project gave young students additional opportunities to work on literacy skills such as constructing a sentence and reinforced social skills such as being a friendly, helpful member of a caring community.
