Fine arts programs in Putnam City are funded in a variety of ways.

Visual arts programs are funded on a per student basis. Music disciplines are allocated a set budget to be divided between sites. Drama and dance are given on-site allocations and receive revenue from ticket and advertising sales.

Proposals have been written for bond money in the fine arts. In the last five years,  $650,000 has been awarded for instruments and equipment and $130,000 has been awarded for technology.

A major source of monetary support for innovative arts related projects each year has come through the generosity of the Putnam City Foundation. Its support has been in the form of curriculum-coordinated grants that are awarded for strong arts education efforts.

In addition, the district arts programs thrives with the constant support of parents, patrons of fine arts patrons and the community who continually sponsor activities and encourage the maintenance of a strong arts education program.
