Putnam City Public Schools Foundation

Putnam City Public Schools Foundation is an IRS recognized 501(c)(3) charity. Foundation funds support revitalization of neighborhoods surrounding schools, grants for literacy and mathematics programs, recognition of excellence in staff, students and volunteers, and other programs. To date, more than $1 million has been invested in schools, teachers and students.

The mission of the Putnam City Public Schools Foundation is to enhance educational opportunities in Putnam City schools.

The Foundation is managed by a volunteer board of trustees, comprised of involved patrons in the district and two paid staff members.

Awards, Stipends and Scholarships
The Foundation provides funding for various student and teacher scholarships and gives monetary stipends to outstanding teachers in the district.

Other Opportunities

The Foundation also supports many other district activities, including Principal for a Day, Challenge Day, School Site Grants, New Teacher Induction, the Teacher of the Year Reception, Golden Apple Awards, Outstanding Support Staff Awards and the Celebration of Excellence Banquet. Funds are raised through the banquet, an annual golf tournament, grants, and donations from foundations, businesses, Putnam City patrons and district employees.

Each year the Foundation is called upon to address the changing needs of the district. With increased funding from the patrons of the Putnam City Public Schools, the Foundation can expand its programming to address additional needs.
