Five district high school students have been selected to be part of the 2006-2007 Youth Council of Oklahoma City.

Whitney Bass from Putnam City North High School and Anna Imose from Putnam City High School are Ward 1 representatives on the council. Jonathan Shirley from Putnam City West High School is a Ward 3 representative, Cally Kingsley from Putnam City North is a Ward 8 representative, and Hunter Ligon from Putnam City High is a member at large.

The Youth Council involves 18 high school students annually in city government. Youth Councilors participate in neighborhood meetings and other activities, learn how services are provided to city residents and adopt their own short-term projects serving the city. Youth Councilors bring a youth perspective to city issues while serving as liaisons between the City, their peers and their wards.
