Students Earn Spots in Honor Bands
Eleven Putnam City middle school students and 27 district high school students earned spots in Central Oklahoma Director's Association (CODA) honor bands following auditions in early November at Edmond Santa Fe High School.
Several hundred students from schools across central Oklahoma auditioned for spots in the 2008 CODA honor bands. Students had been preparing audition materials, primarily outside of class, since spring.
As members honor bands, the students will have the opportunity to work with guest conductors in clinics and play in a concert to be held at the University of Oklahoma in January.
