Arts and crafts shows at two district schools in the next few weeks will benefit students at the schools.
At Putnam City West High School, the annual holiday craft show featuring products made by severe/profound special education students will be held from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Thurday, Nov. 16, and from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 17. Shoppers will find gift mugs packed with hot chocolate or coffee, gift baskets with soups and crackers, snowmen and nativities made of wood, birdhouses made of gourds and many more items. Prices will range from 50 cents to $20. The arts and crafts show will be held in Room R104 at Putnam City West, 8500 N.W. 23rd.
At Lake Park Elementary School, 100 crafters will sell their wares at the 26th Annual Arts and Crafts Show from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 2. The show will take place throughout the school at 8221 N.W. 30th.
Crafters will sell a wide variety of items, including hand-crafted clothing, throws, yard decorations, children’s toys and gourmet food items. The arts and crafts show is sponsored by the school’s PTA, with funds going to purchase of technology, curriculum materials and other needs for the school.
