Student Achievements
Putnam City High School High junior Maria (Chuya) Lopez was chosen "Latino Leader of the Month" by Oklahoma City’s Latino Community Development Agency. Chuya will be featured on Cox Cable in an infomercial celebrating Oklahoma’s Hispanic Youth.
All three district high schools received highest honors in the Oklahoma Interscholastic Press Association yearly critiques of the 2004-2005 high school newspapers. All three schools were also named All-Oklahoman newspapers.
Fourteen district high school student received a total of 17 State Superintendent Awards for Arts in late April. The awards honor high school seniors and administrators for achieving excellence in the arts. The district's honorees were:
