Just the Ticket: Hornets Game to Benefit High School Cancer Fund Drives
Want to enjoy a night of NBA action and help high school cancer fund drives at the same time? Act soon, because the deadline for ticket purchase is quickly approaching.
District high schools and the Oklahoma City Hornets are teaming up for the April 7 game against a Toronto Raptors squad that includes former OSU star Joey Graham. For every ticket purchased at one of the three high schools for that game, the school's cancer fund drives will receive $5.
At Putnam City High School, ticket sales last through the end of the day on Friday, March 3. At Putnam City North High School and Putnam City West High School, ticket sales last through the end of the day on Friday, March 10.
" We're all fans of the Hornets, of course, but now more than ever. This promotion will result in thousands of additional dollars going to fight cancer. We’re grateful to the Hornets for joining our efforts," says John Murphey, Putnam City North High School assistant principal.
What Tickets Are Available? There are three options for tickets:
$15 Tickets Each high school has been allocated 994 tickets to sell for seats in the upper seating level, sometimes known as Loud City. Tickets in this area normally range in price from $10 to $25. For this game, all upper level seats sold by Putnam City high schools will cost $15, with $5 going to the Cancer Fund Drive for each school.
People may purchase as many $15 tickets as they wish. People who wish to sit together at the game should purchase their tickets in one transaction.
$55 Tickets Each high school has also been allocated 115 tickets in the lower seating level. Tickets in this area normally range in price from $50 to $125. For this game, all lower level seats sold by Putnam City high schools will cost $55, with $5 of the purchase price for each ticket going to the Cancer Fund Drive.
Again, people who wish to sit together at the game should purchase their tickets in one transaction.
Suite Deal The Hornets have donated to each high school the use of one suite for the night. Each school will auction off the suite to the highest bidder. This is no small gesture. The Hornets place the value of a suite for one night at $3,000.
Whoever ends up in the suites gets seating for 16, two parking passes and free food and non-alcoholic beverages.
Remember, this offer is for the entire suite, which holds a maximum of 16 people. You may not purchase just a few seats in a suite. It’s all or nothing.
