Good Year for Yearbooks
Putnam City High School’s 2006 Treasure Chest yearbook received a number of awards at the Nov. 6 conference of the Oklahoma Interscholastic Press Association.
The Oklahoma Interscholastic Press Association gave it Highest Honors and named it All Oklahoman.Individually, four students won first place awards, five students won second place awards, two students won third place awards and three students won honorable mention.
The editors of the yearbook were Mary Floyd and Jeremy Causey, both of whom graduated in May 2006.
The 2006 Panther Tracks yearbook received the following recognition from three prestigious scholastic organizations.
- The National Scholastic Press Association awarded the book an All American Rating with Five Marks of Distinction
- The Columbia Scholastic Press Association gave it a rating of Gold Medal with Five Marks of Distinction, making it eligible for a Gold Crown
- The Oklahoma Interscholastic Press Association gave it Highest Honors with Five Marks of Distinction and named it as an All Oklahoman. Individually, the students won five first place awards, seven second place awards, six third place awards and six honorable mentions.
The editors of the yearbook were Stephanie Milchalko, who graduated in May 2006, and current seniors Madison Melon and Faith Bellieu.
