Doing their Art Good

Art students from Putnam City high schools were honored in the 2005 High School Print and Drawing Competition sponsored by the Norick Art Center at Oklahoma City University.

The annual print and drawing competition is open to all Oklahoma high school students in grades 9 through 12. This year the competition drew 828 entries from across the state, 153 of which were judged into the show.

Of the 153 pieces of art in the show, 34 pieces (22 percent) were created by district students. Putnam City High School students had 18 works accepted into the show, the highest number of any school. Putnam City West High School students had 10 works accepted for the show, while Putnam City North High School students had five works accepted.

Below is a list of students whose work was accepted into the show. In parentheses are the number of pieces accepted into the show.
