 End of Era Approaches Dr. Ann Millerborg, the district’s Associate Superintendent of Human Resources, trades stories with district staff at a gathering honoring her service to the district. Millerborg served as an assistant principal and principal at Wiley Post Elementary, principal at Lake Park Elementary, an administrative assistant to the superintendent and director of elementary education before spending her last nine years directing Human Resources. She retires on Jan. 8 after 27 years with Putnam City.

High School Jazz Bands Join Together for Holiday Concert The jazz bands of all three district high schools and a percussion ensemble from Kenneth Cooper Middle School will swing their way through a variety of holiday classics in a concert at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 16th, in the auditorium at Putnam City North High School, 11800 N. Rockwell. Admission to the concert is free with the donation of canned food items to benefit the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma.
18 Putnam City Teachers Earn National Distinction The National Board for Professional Teachers Standards has announced that 18 Putnam City teachers have earned National Board Certification.

Elementary Students Book Time in High School Each year Putnam City West's Computer II students work on a project with Overholser Elementary 5th-grade students. Putnam City West students travel to Overholser to interview students, then back at Putnam City West create bookets profiling the 5th-grader they interviewed. Overholser students then visit Putnam City West to receive their personalized booklets and tour the high school.

 Running Totals The Putnam City Cancer Classic 5k and 1-mile fun run drew more than 700 registered participants on Saturday, Nov. 15. The event raised about $7,000 for cancer research at the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation.
