Putnam City Arts Festival Set for Saturday, May 3
The community is invited to attend the 27th Annual Putnam City Visual and Performing Arts Festival Celebration from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, May 3. The arts festival will be held in the commons area at Putnam City North High School, 11800 N. Rockwell.
On display at the festival will be hundreds of pieces of art created by students in kindergarten through grade 12 from all 27 schools in the district.
As is the case at Oklahoma City arts festival, event visitors will enjoy more than paintings and drawings. Performances from the district’s vocal music groups, dance troupes, orchestras and bands are also part of the day.
For young artists visiting the festival with their parents, the district’s visual art specialists will create an activity station so youngsters may work on projects and then take home their efforts.
The festival also includes a silent auction of gift baskets assembled and donated by schools.
For more information, please contact Barbara Gabel, Fine Arts coordinator for the district, at 495-5200, ext. 1213.
