Kindergarten Expansion   
Hilldale Elementary kindergarten teacher Miriam Parkerson teaches students in one of two new kindergarten classrooms that were constructed during the summer. The classrooms were built in an area that was formerly used as the school cafeteria. The renovation of the area was paid for through bonds approved by voters in September 2000.


ACT Scores Shine   ACT scores at all three high schools exceed the state and national averages.

Early analysis of data indicates that students at every Putnam City school scored high enough on standardized tests to meet or exceed federal and state adequate yearly progress (AYP) targets.

Academy In New Spot   Putnam City Academy students began the year in new space created on the third floor of the Putnam City Center on N.W. 40th. The renovation of a portion of the Center into Academy classrooms and a library was paid for through MAPS for Kids funds.
