Pancake Breakfast to Benefit Putnam City North Band

Area residents are invited to fill up on pancakes, listen to the talented high school musicians and support a great cause from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Feb. 25 at the Putnam City North High School Band’s Pancake Breakfast. The all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast will be held in the Putnam City North cafeteria, 11800 N. Rockwell. Tickets to the pancake breakfast are $5.

While guests enjoy breakfast they’ll also be treated to performances all morning long by Putnam City North bands and ensembles. The symphonic band, jazz band, trombone choir, trumpet choir, percussion ensemble and flute choir are just a few of the groups scheduled to play. Bands from Hefner Middle School and Cooper Middle School will also perform.

Organizers of the event ask that guests park in the lot on the north side of the school and enter the building through well-marked doors on the north.

The event is more than just breakfast. Guests will also have a chance to bid on items in a silent auction and browse through an arts and crafts show.

Silent Auction
From 8 a.m. to noon, a silent auction will be held alongside the pancake breakfast. Items up for bid include two Southwest Airline tickets to the destination of the winner’s choice; an Oklahoma City Thunder basket, a pool and spa basket, a Bath and Body Works basket, and much more.
Items in the silent auction will have different closing times. Bidders do not need to be present to win.

Arts and Crafts Show
As part of the day’s events, an arts and crafts show will be held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the school’s Upper Commons. More than 25 vendors will be on hand selling goods such as jewelry, wreaths, coloring books, kitchen containers, home décor items, crocheted hats, scarves, bath soaps and more. Admission to the craft show is free.

"The Putnam City North Band Pancake breakfast and the events that accompany it are a fun way for people to support the North band program and hear some great music from talented students. We invite the community to come and spend all day or part of the day at this amazingly fun event," says Putnam City North band director Susan Clothier.
