Three Putnam City schools will hold holiday craft fairs on Saturday, Nov. 19th.
Western Oaks Middle School will hold its annual holiday market and craft show, “Festival Under the Oaks,” from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 19th. The school is located at 7200 N.W. 23rd, just west of N.W. 23rd and Rockwell.
Event organizers expect more than 50 booths will be set up in the school cafeteria and gymnasium. Jewelry, children’s items, beauty projects, candles, kitchen supplies, home décor, holiday décor and more will be for sale.
A special new feature of the event will be Big Truck Taco. The eatery will have their truck in the school parking lot from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. serving tacos, burritos and other “street gourmet” Mexican and Latino cuisine.
Admission to the Festival Under the Oaks is free. Proceeds from the craft fair will benefit after-school clubs and help cover costs of student supplies and a Camp Goddard trip.
Coronado Heights Elementary School will also hold its holiday craft fair on Saturday, Nov. 19th. The fair will be open in the school’s gym from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The school is located at 5911 N. Sapulpa, a few blocks west of Portland and north of N.W. 50th.
Event organizers say 40 to 50 vendors will offer for sale items such as Christmas decorations, home decor items, student-made items, jewelry, homemade pies and cakes and other foods.
Admission to the crafts fair is free. Proceeds from the craft fair will aid the PTA in purchasing new technology for students to use.
Northridge Elementary School is the third district school that has a holiday craft fair scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 19th. The fair will be open in the school's gym and cafeteria from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The school is located at 8501 N.W. 82nd, a few blocks west of Council on N.W. 82nd.
Approximately 30 vendors will be on hand selling a variety of products, including decorative signs, jewelry, bows and children's wear.
Admission to the Northridge crafts fair is $1 for people 16 and older. Proceeds from admission will become part of the school's cancer fund drive in which funds are donated to cancer research at Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation.
