Want to help Apollo Elementary’s 400-plus students become more fit and healthy? All it takes is a few clicks of your computer mouse.

Apollo is one of a number of schools across the nation in competition for a grant from Big Lots, the closeout retailer. Each school asking for a grant created a short video, and all videos are now posted on a Big Lots website.

Schools will be chosen to receive grants according to how many times visitors to the site vote for a specific school and their video. Voting lasts through July 22.

If Apollo wins a grant, the funds will be used to construct a walking track at the school.

How do vote for Apollo? Follow these five simple steps:

1) Visit
http://www.lots2give.com/Vote2.aspx

2) Search for the Apollo video using the provided search fields. You can either search by state or by ZIP code. Apollo’s ZIP code is 73008.

3) When you spot Apollo’s video, click on the “View & Vote” button.

4) The Apollo video will move to the featured spot at the top of the page. Click on the orange button that says “Vote for this school”.

5) You may vote up to three times a day until the voting ends July 22.

Remember that you can ask your colleagues, friends and family to vote, too.
