Substitute Teaching
Putnam City requires substitutes for our teachers to have a four-year college degree or a letter of recommendation from one of our building administrators. To apply, bring your driver’s license, social security card, and a transcript or diploma showing the four-year degree (or the letter of recommendation) to the Substitute Office at the Administration building, 5401 N.W. 40th, between 8 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.
Substitutes are used on an "as needed" basis and are called by an automated calling system when absences they are qualified to fill occur. Substitutes specify which schools and subjects they prefer to work in. For further information, please call (405) 495-5200, ext. 1232.
