In February 2011 Cindy Gibbs started a new chapter in her service to Putnam City when she joined the district’s school board. For close to two decades Gibbs has been involved in her children’s education by volunteering in the classroom and serving in various PTA roles at Wiley Post Elementary, Hefner Middle School and Putnam City North. Cindy holds a Vocational Home Economics Education degree and is currently working in the oil and gas industry. Cindy and her husband, Brian, have three children and a son-in-law, all graduates from Putnam City schools. “I proudly serve the families of Putnam City in continuing our push for educational excellence. The educational and leadership opportunities in Putnam City prepared my children well for their future and I believe that all students deserve those same opportunities,” she says.

Bren Smith
Bren Smith began her service as a board member in February 2013. As a graduate from the University of Central Oklahoma with a B.S.in Liberal Arts and Science, she is true fan and advocate for the love of life-long learning. Her passion for quality educational resources stems from having taught all age groups from early childhood education to the adult learner in the business environment. Bren is a mother of two children with a daughter attending elementary school and son pursuing a career in law enforcement and serving in the Army National Guard. She and her family are active with Crossings Community Church where Bren takes an active role in children’s ministry leadership.

Becky Haliburton started her second term in February 2013. She was elected in 2008 and was unopposed in 2013. Becky and her husband, Tracey, have two children who both attend Putnam City North High School. Becky has served in numerous volunteer positions, including PTA President at Will Rogers Elementary, Hefner Middle School and Putnam CIty North High School. She also served as Putnam City Council PTA President for two years. Haliburton currently works for the Oklahoma State Senate. She says, "It is an honor and privledge to serve the family and community of Putnam City Schools. I love this district!".

Tammy West has been involved in Putnam City Schools for more than 20 years. She is a graduate of the University of Central Oklahoma with a degree in Business Management. She has held numerous volunteer positions, including PTSA president at the elementary, middle school and high school level. She and her husband, Jon, have three children. All are proud graduates of Putnam City West High School and are now attending college.Tammy and her family attend Council Road Baptist Church. She considers it a unique privilege to serve our children and our community

In February 2010 Gail LoPresto was elected to her fourth term on the board of education. She was elected in July 1997 and ran unopposed in 2000 and 2005. LoPresto's advocacy for children began when she was expecting her first child in 1978 when Oklahoma City Public Schools was threatening to close the neighborhood school. She has been actively involved in PTA for the past 16 years, serving as president of the Mayfield Middle School PTA for two years. An Oklahoma State University graduate, LoPresto works as business administrator.
